PNGs Cause Crashing?

Hello,

 

First thing off the bat, here's my specs:

Macbook Pro Mid 2014

2.6 GHz i7

16GB Ram

Intel Iris Pro

 

Adobe Premiere CC2014  8.0.1(21)

 

I've been able to crash Premiere quite a few times by messing around with png files.  By crash, I mean bringing the entire system down, not just the program itself.  Resizing them, putting a matte on it, moving them around, any of that happening will completely force OS X to GSoD and boot again.  For whatever reason, there is a massive problem with the way Premiere handles .PNGs on my system. 

 

I am doing quite a bit of workload and multitasking.  I nest sequences and use a lot of dynamic linking with After Effects, but it always happens when I try to work with .PNGs.  My coworkers are running into various other problems that I personally haven't experienced.  We all have the same laptop.  What I'm worried about is that that this is possibly a video driver error that's on OS X's side and they're not going to fix it any time soon because of the incoming release of Yosemite. 

 

CC2014, I must say is a huge regret for our company to update to.  We generally like Adobe Products, but this is all incredibly disappointing and aggravating.  To keep ourselves in good spirits we've set up a tally board for how many times we've crashed Premiere or After Effects.  We try to break that record each week.  So far the high is 22 times a week between the three of us.  That was two weeks ago.  Since the latest update, we've only had 5 crashes this week.  Looking forward to the next update!

 

Side note, whatever it is that the Spotify app is doing that is preventing me from using the dropper tool in After Effects, is also really bugging me.  I've seen people mention it a few times and I too would like to throw my hat into that same ring.

Re: am editing with red files in premier pro and when I export and then upload to youtube it is not showing as an hd video.  can anyone help?

It sometimes take a while for YouTube to generate all the versions of your video, so it could possibly be that at the time you're looking, the full 1080 version has not yet appeared. When you do the export, is the file you generate 1080?

Re: I downloaded a trial of photoshop. It runs for a minute or so, then a message displays saying that photoshop has stopped. No error codes, just the message. I have exhausted the "try this" stuff that I can find. Any other ideas would be appreciated.

I saw a similar question deeper into the forum right after I posted.  I followed the fix steps and it took care of the problem.

photoshopCC2014でエクステンションがグレー表示になっており、kulerなどのアドオンが使用できません。

「Kuler Panel PS CC 2014」をすでに入手済みで、CC2014の方も現時点でのアップデート済。

同期環境も特に問題はないらしく、旧バージョンの「PhotoshopCC」をインストールしてみたところ、

デフォルトでエクステンションが使用可能でkulerも使えます。

 

2014verで使用するにはどうすればいいのでしょうか？

 

使用環境

mac mini late2012

os10.9.4

pagemaker 5 kannada

Hi experts,

 

I have a lot of old documents in pagemaker 5, which are in Kannada language (A South Indian language). Now I need to have them in PDF format. How can I do that? I tried opening them in pagemaker 7, but font is not at all readable. Also, I tried opening them in InDesign, but InDesign says it doesn't support pagemaker 5 documents. Kindly suggest me a workaround for this.

It gives me an error message: "You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling and then reinstall this product or contacting your IT administrator or Adobe customer support for help"

But even when I do that, it still gives me this message. My disk drive doesn't even read my disk saying its not supported.

I originally had uploaded using "Upload to FTP Host"  following the steps I outlined in my previous post.  Since you stated I should "Export Using HTML"  I did that saving those files to my HDD as "phone."  I then put uploaded that "phone" file to my existing site host using FTP.

I'm still just getting the desktop site pulling up on the phone.  Sorry, I'm sure its something simple I'm missing but can't track it down.

LR 5.5 how to save identity plate setup, import and export settings(watermarks et all)

good question how can I tell that if the file is 1080?  its an mp4 file that was created in premiere pro under the settings i gave you.  Also I uploaded the video almost 8 hrs ago.  i am new to premiere pro so i am pretty green

Can you show some screen captures. Ctrl+Click on a Path in the path palette should make a section from the combined path. Have your tried resetting you Photoshop preferences.

Hi Eric,

 

It's very strange. I was able to duplicate the issue by clicking View Tutorials from the CC app. However, I was able to get the videos to load when I went to the page from the adobe.com website when I selected Menu > Learn & Support > All Learn & Support > and then select the All Products button below the Featured Products and select Adobe Dreamweaver. Then, I selected the same tutorial from that page and was able to see and play the videos after that.

 

I'm suspecting it is a page load error in that, if the rest of the page loads too fast, the videos don't get loaded. Have you tried to Refresh the page when you get to it and it doesn't show the videos? Perhaps this will help.

Bridge Cache problem

Every time  I open Bridge I get an error message "Bridge encountered a problem and is unable to read Cache. Please try purging central cache to solve solution." 


I am using Adobe Bridge CS6 on Windows 8, with Canon 5D Mark III camera.  This issue has begun about two- three weeks ago.  Now, it has begun to intervene where I can't work on photos.  Bridge works too slow and freezes up and  I can't do anything. 


I have tried fixing it by going to the

  • Edit tab
  • preference option
  • and purged cache

(several times). But no luck.  Message still pops up every time I open the program.


Sometimes I get an error message saying Bridge has low memory and I need to restart the program. 


Has anyone had this problem or know how or where I can find a solution?  I NEED to work on my photos ASAP! Any help will be greatly appreciated.
